When war came to Lanehead
Interesting letter to the editor from G Parton who lived at Fair View, Lanehead. Originally from the Rochdale Observer, if you read the details of the letter, it tells about a bomb hitting “The Nook” by a lone German fighter on Easter Monday 1942!
