Music for the Many – Todmorden

Dear supporters,

This Sunday, 16th August, we are delighted to be hosting a workshop in čardáš, traditional Roma dance, open to everyone of all ages, funded by Culturedale.

It’s a great chance to get involved in this really exciting project.

The session will be led by our lovely friends Mihlay and Viktoria, who are the UK’s finest dancers in the Roma/Gypsy styles from Slovakia and Hungary.

You’ll get to sing some traditional Romani songs as well!

It will be on Sunday 16th August 3pm- 5pm at Halifax Unity, 253 Queens Road, Halifax HX1 4NJ.

Halifax Unity is a great, community-led venue, right in the heart of the community it serves and it’s a wonderful partner organisation of Music for the Many.

    • It’s a 20 minute walk from King Cross, if you’re catching the bus from Tod or Hebden, etc.
    • It’s a 20 minute walk from Halifax Town Centre, and
    • It’s a 3 minute walk from Pellon Lane.
    • There’s on-street parking in the area.

It’s all completely free of charge and drinks and snacks will be provided.

THEN, having learnt the steps, you can join us for our Romaband performance at The Trades Club Street Party on 31st August in Hebden Bridge!

Hope to see you there!

Thanks for all your support.
